We would like to share the sad news that Roy E. George, Professor Emeritus, passed away on October 25, 2022. Roy received his Ph.D. in 1967, taught at Dalhousie from 1963 until his retirement in 1988. He was the Chairperson of the Economics Department, 1974/75. He had several books and publications on industrialization and economic growth in small open economies. He will be remembered by his unassuming demeanor, pragmatism, and general optimism.
