Dr. Saurabh Chitnis
Dr. Chitnis completed his PhD under the supervision of Neil Burford at the University of Victoria as a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholar where he received the Governor General’s Gold medal for doctoral research. This was followed by research at the University of Bristol (UK) as a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow (2015-2017) in the materials chemistry lab of Ian Manners. He then moved back to his hometown and carried out catalysis research at the University of Toronto (2017-2018) with Doug Stephan. Saurabh joined the department of Chemistry at Dalhousie in July 2018 and his research interests include redox active main group centres, Lewis superacids, and inorganic materials. His research program is supported by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI - JELF) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC – Discover Grant). He is currently accepting undergraduate and graduate students.
