John Dingle Science Communications Intern

Great news! The CREATE BioActives Training Program, located in Dalhousie's Department of Chemistry, has been selected as one of the four hosts for the John Dingle Science Communications Interns. Led by Dr. Alison Thompson, this project will provide the intern with valuable team-related and independent experience in oral and written science communication, audio production and digital media promotion. The intern will have the chance to explore various chemistry-related career paths by conducting expert interviews, researching current events and breakthroughs in the field, and creating articles and podcast segments.

Duration: May 15 - August 4, 2023
This is a full-time paid internship opportunity for 12 weeks. The intern will be paid $7500 + 4% vacation and will be required to work 35 hours per week for 12 weeks. Enrolling in summer courses is not recommended.

You can apply here if you are an undergraduate student who is interested in media aspects of chemistry-related careers, is currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Science, and will return to full-time studies in the fall of 2023.
