Our Group

Our group is focused on developing and evaluating endoscopy based technologies to improve the delivery of health care.  Examples of past projects include our published experiences with improving the management of Barrett's esophagus and early esophageal cancer using mucosal ablation techniques, improving the management of achalasia using endoscopic techniques, improving the management of complicated pancreatitis using transgastric endoscopic drainage techniques, improving the management of asthma in patients with morbid obesity by combining standard medical therapy with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, and improving the management of type II diabetes in patients with morbid obesity by combining standard medical therapy with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.

We have several ongoing projects developing and evaluating novel endoscopic approaches to improve the outcomes of common medical problems.
