Open Data Contest

This event is a partnership between SIM, the Province of Nova Scotia and the Rowe School of Business in conjunction with International Open Data Day. The contest has been held annually on the first weekend in March since 2016 and is open to anyone. Teams or individuals develop an application, predictive model, or visualization that addresses an important social issue, using data from the NS Open Data Portal. Solutions are pitched to a panel of judges at the end of the weekend to compete for cash prizes.
