Research Interests

Dr. Zhang has a strong interest in pursuing archival research that looks into the association between financial reporting quality and several audit-related issues. Topics of particular interest include (1) accounting-based earnings management and real activity management, (2) effects of regulation and corporate governance on financial reporting, (3) audit market competition on earnings management practices.
