Celebrating women leaders in the legal profession

The Schulich School of Law community congratulates Christene Hirschfeld, QC ('84) on receiving a 2013 Lexpert Zenith Award: Celebrating Women Leaders in the Legal Profession.

Christene is an affiliate of our Law & Technology Institute, and is an Associate of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. A leading practitioner in Technology and IP law, Christene chairs and leads the Business Law Team at BOYNECLARKE LLP, and has served as Chair of the National IP Section for the Canadian Bar Association; NS Chapter Canadian Women in Communications; and the Halifax Informals Group of Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. Christene has long been on the list of "The Best Lawyers in Canada", was named Halifax's Information Technology Lawyer of the Year for 2014, and has achieved a Distinguished Attorney Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

The Lexpert Zenith Awards honour women lawyers who have led their clients, firms, companies, departments, faculties, profession, colleagues and communities, and have been a role model for other women in the profession. Recipients are chosen from a broad array of backgrounds, including: law firms, corporate legal and government departments, academia, the judiciary and alternative legal careers.
