Mindfulness Training Course

Do you find yourself struggling to turn your mind off? Are you not sleeping at night? Too many things going on in your head? Mindfulness training can help.

In our eight-week mindfulness course, students will learn:

  • mindfulness theory
  • sitting, standing and walking meditation
  • qi gong breathing
  • journaling and discussion techniques

The course is taught by Dr. John Lovas, retired Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Lovas has been part of Dentistry's innovative mindfulness program since 2008.

There are two sections of this class. Section 1 is on Tuesdays from 5:30 - 6:50 PM from October 6 to December 1. Section 2 is on Thursdays from 7:00 - 8:20 from October 8 to December 3. This excludes the Tuesday and Thursday during reading week, November 10 and 12, 2020.
