Black Women in Leadership: Fighting for Change
The Dalhousie Black Student Advising Centre presents Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard, who will share her success story; challenges as a social worker, teacher, and activist; current experience as a senator; and how she has used these positions to combat racism and advance the interest of African Canadians.
This is an African Heritage Month event. It will be moderated by Professor Chike Jeffers of Dal's Department of Philosophy. Entertainment will be provided by the Oshikoya Family and Sierra Leonean dancers. Light refreshments will be served.
