IDEALaw 2018 Conference: Law's Human Impact
This student-run conference, hosted every two years by Schulich Law's Social Activist Law Student Association (SALSA), takes place March 9 and 10 unites activist and legal communities to discuss meaningful solutions to social problems through law. SALSA is working with the Refugee Advocacy Association of Dalhousie, Dalhousie Black Law Students Association, Dalhousie Indigenous Law Students Association, the Environmental Law Students Society, and Dalhousie Feminist Legal Association. The conference will feature a keynote speech by Dennis Edney, lawyer for Omar Khadr. Four panels will reflect access to justice issues, incarceration and prison law, disability law, privacy issues, and Indigenous access to justice. Free and open to the public.
