HLI Health Law and Policy Seminar Series Student Satellite Workshop

This is a student workshop on Public Health Research Methods for Law and Policy with Professor Pascale Allotey, United Nations University International Institute for Global Health.

This workshop is designed for law and public health students as an open conversation with Professor Pascale Allotey on the craft of public health law and policy research. Professor Allotey is the director of the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH). She has two decades of experience as a researcher in global health. Together, we will explore how community-based research and intervention programs can enhance our capacities to design and advocate for law and policy to achieve public health goals, and how public health knowledge and methods of research can improve our health law and policy decision-making. 

The workshop is jointly hosted by the Health Law Institute and Dal's Healthy Populations Institute. All welcome. No RSVP or registration required.

The workshop will be followed by a Health Law and Policy seminar with Professor Allotey, who will present "A Matter of Survival: Health Rights from the Bottom Up.” It will take place from 12:10–1:30 p.m. in Rm 104, Weldon Law Building. A light lunch will be set out by noon in Room 312 (Faculty Lounge).
