Requesting to view exams and major papers
Students are permitted to review their exams for their own use only. It is an academic offence to share a marked exam (or a copy of it) with another law student. Students are not permitted to photocopy their graded exams.
Exams and papers must be viewed at Associate Dean's office corner and cannot be removed from this area. (Please note: Peer Mentors and IB&M Initiative Peer Educators are exempt from the above.)
Fall term exams are available for a student's own personal review for 30 days after the date grades are released on Dal Online.
Winter term exams are available for a student's own personal review from the date grades are released in May, until the end of the following September.
Please fill out a request form (available (here) and submit to Lavy Rajagopalan at Lavanya.R@Dal.Ca) and in hard copy in the Associate Dean's Office). Normally, exams and papers will be ready for you to pick up the following afternoon (you won't be notified). During peak work times, it may take longer.
Please note that the mark on your exam may not be the final mark if adjustments were required to meet the curve. The final grade, as approved by Faculty Council, will be reflected on your transcript.
