Travelling to Halifax
Dalhousie's Studley campus is located in the South End of Halifax, a well-established neighbourhood within a 15- to 20-minute walk to the downtown core.
Driving – The university can be accessed by car through any of the highways feeding into the city, but the most direct route is via Highway 102 inbound. Our interactive campus map will be helpful when planning your route.
From the airport – There are a variety of options available to visitors coming from the airport. It's a 40-minute drive from the Robert L. Stanfield International Airport to Dalhousie University. You’ll want to consider the following possibilities:
- Rental car – Halifax is a very driveable city, and a number of car-rental companies are located at the airport.
- Airport Taxi – Offering convenient service at the arrivals gate, most companies servicing the airport will charge a one-way flat rate of around $65 to Halifax.
- Public Transit – The MetroX #320 express bus runs hourly between the airport and Halifax, and more frequently during peak periods. It costs $3.25 for adults and students.
