New Undergrad Program Under Development

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)

Dalhousie's College of Pharmacy is in the process of developing an undergraduate-level entry-to-practice Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) program which would replace our current undergraduate pharmacy program. If approved, admission to this new program is anticipated to begin in September 2019. Applicants will be required to have a minimum 2 years of prerequisite courses.

Currently offered at 7 universities in Canada, this new pharmacy degree would be an intensive program of both academic and clinical education, with 40 weeks of clinical rotations, over the current 20 weeks in the BSc.

The university is also exploring the potential development of a program for current practitioners and graduates of the BSc (Pharmacy) to convert to the Pharm D. As we continue to work toward offering this new credential, we will keep our community and prospective Pharm D students informed.
