Measuring and Documenting Everyday Outcomes

Whether persons are recovering from work-related injuries or living with arthritis, multiple sclerosis or a stroke, they share the common goal of participating in meaningful occupations. Occupational therapists have the expertise needed to measure and document the outcomes of everyday occupations.
Our research is focused on defining and developing methods to observe, measure, and evaluate occupational constructs. Valid, reliable and meaningful measurement tools enable us, in turn, to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and programs for persons with injuries and/or chronic conditions, as well as their family members.
