The research of Dr. Margot Latimer from the School of Nursing has been profiled in the Globe and Mail, Thursday 9 June 2016.  Dr. Latimer launched the Aboriginal Children’s Hurt and Healing Initiative in 2008 and has been working with aboriginal children to express pain, and one of her methods is to do this through artwork.  The success of her work will enable health care professionals to better treat aboriginal children in the future in a way that is appropriate and mindful of their culture while gaining information on existing and past pain which will guide clinical decisions.
