<title>Moving away from the white coat: Dalhousie’s College of Pharmacy updates tradition</title>
      <link>https://www.dal.ca/faculty/health/news-events/news/2025/09/29/moving_away_from_the_white_coat__dalhousie_s_college_of_pharmacy_updates_tradition.html</link>
<description>Dalhousie’s College of Pharmacy is changing the way it welcomes new students, helping the future pharmacists to provide culturally responsive care. The tradition for the past few decades was a white coat ceremony to welcome new students into the College, where everyone was given a coat that they will wear for their labs. The tradition was started by medical schools and adopted by pharmacists since they also wore the coats.</description>
