UpLift Legacy website is now live

Posted by Sara Kirk on February 27, 2025 in News

UpLift Partnership is excited to launch their new website, which tells the story of their work over the last decade. This ‘legacy’ website is also packed with resources that they hope will support the Health Promoting Schools model in Nova Scotia for years to come. As the work of the UpLift Partnership comes to a close on March 31st, 2025, this legacy website will serve as a hub for many of the excellent resources developed through the partnership.

Two of the key resources developed through the UpLift Partnership are included in the website:

Student Engagement in HPS Roadmap – This evidence-based tool is a guide to fostering meaningful student engagement in a Health Promoting Schools approach. This resource includes essential components and resources to support the work. This roadmap was informed by experiences of Youth Engagement Coordinators and research done by Julia Kontak, a PhD in Health student who is studying student engagement in school health promotion.

HPS Project Catalogue - This catalogue describes some of the projects that were decided upon by students and supported by Youth Engagement Coordinators in 163 schools in Nova Scotia between 2019-2024. Funding for these projects was provided through UpLift funding.

They are so grateful for your support for the work of the UpLift Partnership - without you they would not have been able to achieve the breadth or depth of change that they have seen. This has been such important work to create systems change for healthier generations.
