Kimberley Hirtle (she/her) and Lucas Thorne-Humphrey (he/him) will walk us through the literature around interactions between the LGBTQ2S+ community and health care providers as it applies to pharmacists.  Kim and Lucas will draw from their own professional and lived experiences to help develop communication skills with this diverse population. They believe that we can improve patient relationships and therapeutic outcomes through the development of these important skills. This interactive session will also provide information about the health challenges that this marginalized community faces and offer strategies to help address them utilizing already existing skills, empathy, and a passion for pharmacy practice.
