International Graduate Student Peer Mentorship

Build your network, engage with the campus community and learn about life as a Dalhousie graduate student

The International Graduate Student Peer Mentorship program matches graduate students with upper-year peers to support the graduate experience at Dalhousie. When you join the program as a mentee, you will be connected to other international graduate students and have a mentor supporting you through one-on-one meetings. As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences as a student who has made the transition to studying in a Canadian graduate program. Meeting topics will include:

• Transitioning to university life in Canada
• Navigating your roles and responsibilities as a graduate student
• Finding available supports and services at Dalhousie

Please note that mentors will not provide immigration-related advice. For those matters, please contact the International Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to meet other graduate students and learn about Dalhousie from someone who has been there first-hand.

The application period for both mentors and mentees closed on January 18, 2022. Thank you to everyone who applied.
