Postdoctoral Fellows can receive up to $500.00 as a travel grant to attend a conference. A Postdoctoral Fellow may only receive one travel grant during their fellowship at Dalhousie. In order to be eligible, the applicant must make a presentation of his/her peer reviewed work at a national or international scholarly meeting or conference. Please note that this travel grant is a reimbursement of travel expenses incurred. Applications must be submitted one month prior to the conference dates.
Postdoctoral Fellows leaving Canada are expected to consult the travel policy, following the requirements set out for Dalhousie Faculty and Staff. All students, staff, and faculty are expected to register their travel with International SOS. More information can be found on the International Learning Experiences website.
After you fill out and submit the Travel Grant Application (netid login required) [DOC - 448kb], it will be authorized by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Upon return from the conference, the Postdoctoral Fellow must complete a Travel Expense Claim form and submit it to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for reimbursement.
