NSERC Doctoral Competition

Posted by Faculty of Graduate Studies on August 27, 2018 in Awards

The Faculty of Graduate Studies would like to draw your attention to the NSERC website, where the program description and application instructions for the upcoming NSERC Doctoral Scholarship competition can be found. Please note that students are required to use and submit through NSERC’s online system.

All applications will be submitted online, however, you will have to print your application before it is submitted online and submit the printed version to your department for them to review.

It is the responsibility of each student to review their own application (making sure it is complete) prior to submitting to their department (please check with your department for their deadline). Although applications are completed online, you will still need to print a copy for your department’s review.

You will still be required to submit original transcripts (in sealed envelopes) to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The name and e-mail address requested from you on the online application in order to get your transcripts submitted is as follows:
Courtney Collins

Applications will not be considered by FGS until your departmental nomination and ranking sheet are received. It is important to note that incomplete applications; improperly completed applications; and applications that do not include official transcripts or other required supporting documentation will not be accepted or reviewed.

Check with the department you are currently registered with for the deadline for paper submission of completed NSERC applications. The department deadline will be approximately the last week of September 2018. The deadline for online submission is October 1, 2018. As this is an online submission there can be NO extensions to this deadline.
