The International Differential Fee Scholarship
The International Differential Fee Scholarship will be awarded to 13 full-time international graduate students. The scholarships will be awarded in the winter term 2018 and will help cover one term of international differential fees.
FGS will allocate the awards on the basis of academic excellence and research accomplishments as well as on documented financial need.
Students whose funding includes top-ups of lesser scholarships (for example, NSGS) by research grants in order to meet FGS-recommended or departmentally established funding minima are eligible.
Students who are fully funded by a major scholarship (Vanier, Killam, etc.) or third party funding (CALDO, Saudi, Chinese Scholarship, etc.) at or above the FGS-recommended minimum are not eligible for this scholarship.
Awards are non-renewable and non-appealable and will be applied firstly to any fees owing.
To facilitate this competition, departments are requested to send a list of eligible international graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.7 (last 2 years, with each year meeting the 3.7 GPA) to FGS no later than 4:00 pm on March 20th (please include scholarship GPA calculations). We also ask that you list the number of peer reviewed papers and number of conferences attended. Please note that students must have up to date registration in order to be eligible.
