Students are required to take 4 to 6 half-credit courses from the graduate classes offered by Faculties, of which a maximum of two directed reading classes may be included. It is expected that a student will take 2 half-credit courses in each contributing discipline.
Students without appropriate research methods in their background may be required to take, in addition to the above, courses in research methods and/or statistics.
Students are permitted to take up to two directed studies courses either at Dalhousie or at another institution with a Letter of Permission. More information can be found under the Directed Studies link to the right.
