Dalhousie Homecoming: JD McLean Lecture

Dalhousie dentistry and dental hygiene students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the broader Dalhousie and Halifax communities are invited to join us for our annual JD McLean Lecture.

This general interest lecture is named after our former dean, Dr. JD McLean, who firmly believed in the importance of broadening the education of dentistry and dental hygiene students.

This year's lecturer, Ray Ivany, will speak on the topic "Leadership Roles for Dental Professionals in Civil Society: An Atlantic Canadian Perspective".

Mr. Ivany argues that the economic and demographic realities of Atlantic Canada require a profound shift in direction in many aspects of our society. His lecture will draw on Dr. JD McLean's belief in broadening the Dalhousie Dental School curriculum to explore potential roles for modern dental professional in shaping a more dynamic and prosperous agenda for our region.

We hope to see you there!
