About Jesse Rodrigues

I grew up working with computers my whole life, but it wasn’t until my senior year of high school that I got the chance to take my school’s only computer science course. Since then, I’ve grown to enjoy the challenge of programming and problem solving from a computer science perspective. I fell in love with Halifax, Dalhousie, and particularly the Faculty of Computer Science from the first day I made my transition from the US. I serve on the Computer Science Society Council as the Applied Computer Science Representative, where I represent student interests.

I’m always happy to meet new students and connect people to the resources they need. I’m still in the middle of my first year, and I can answer any questions you might have about the freshman experience. I’m not really sure where my academic career will take me yet, but I’m looking forward to the opportunities presented by the co-op program and the many, many resources at Dal. So far, my life here has been fun, challenging, and sometimes unfamiliar, but always rewarding. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of the ambassadors if you have any questions!
