Computer Science Preview Day 2018
Computer Science Preview Day 2018 will be on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 and will run from the morning into the early afternoon at the Goldberg Computer Science Building. This full-day, free event for high school students and parents includes lunch at a residence dining hall and a camps tour. This is a great way to test drive a degree in computer science or applied computer science for the day.
Dalhousie Programming Competition for High School and Junior High Students (DPC/H)
DPC/H is designed to provide a computer programming challenge for high-school and junior high-school students. The contest is open to students of younger age as well. In addition to be a contest for students who already learned programming in class or independently, it is an educational contest, aimed at helping any interested students to learn programming through a sequence of exercises of increasing difficulty.
North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad (NACLO)
NACLO is a competition for middle and high school students (grades 6 to 12) which presents problems involving language and logic. All problems are written and no prior background in linguistics or computer science is necessary.
