Description (100% online)
This introductory course establishes the foundation of knowledge upon which project management practices are based. Looking in depth at the anatomy of a project and the role of the project manager, the course introduces the key concepts upon which the project management discipline is based. Based on industry standard practices, the course introduces the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK v5® Guide).
Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to project management, the course looks at a broad range of different projects and explores how different approaches are used under different circumstances. Reviewing the full project lifecycle from initial concept through to project completion and the realization of benefits, you gain insights into how projects work in the real world and the factors that lead to project success.
Note: This course is a prerequisite for all other project management online courses.
PMBOK is a registered mark of the Project Management Institute, Inc.
