This course examines the subject of professional ethics within policing. Its goal is to provide an in-depth understanding and appreciation of how professional ethics applies both to the individual and the organization and why ethics is an essential dimension of true leadership. Each unit provides a particular focus and progression that will assist in understanding the application of ethics to the policing profession.
- Theoretical background in moral philosophy and professional ethics

- The transition from the theoretical to the practical (ethical decision-making in the real world)

The Ethics for Police Leaders course showed the importance of ethics in police leadership. This should be a mandatory course for all supervisors in the police/security field."
