Cannabis Career Training
A Professional Gateway
Dalhousie University College of Continuing Education, in collaboration with Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), is excited to announce this gateway into one of Canada's most rapidly evolving industries.
Under the instruction of industry professionals, these 8-week online courses can be taken at the same time, or one by one:
Plant Production and Facility Management
Marketing, Sales and Drug Development
September 4 - October 26, 2018
Financing a Cannabis Enterprise in Canada
Cannabis: Plant Science
The courses will cover Canada’s Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR), and is intended for students who want to grow marijuana legally (through the ACMPR) and be part of the evolving pharmaceutical and medical world that marijuana is currently entering.
The completion of these courses does not grant you a license to legally grow or sell marijuana. You are still required to apply for a license through ACMPR or work with licensed producers. The courses prepare you for an introductory perspective to do either task and help you prepare to better understand the application process, standard operating procedures and questions and answers involved. The steps involved to get a license can be a rigorous process and quite lengthy/costly which is another reason the courses came about.
Once completing courses you will receive a statement of completion which you can then use to help distinguish yourself in the marketplace amongst thousands of others wishing to work in the field. You’ll also gain knowledge in the areas mentioned on the course website to help you better understand the industry and how you might want to place yourself in it.
Students in the Cannabis Career Training courses can expect competitive insight and additional career-resources. These courses are delivered online, making them open to anyone, anywhere.
