Dr. Qamar Zaman was recently recognized by the Canadian Society of for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (CSABE) with the Maple Leaf Award and Fellow award for 2025.
A CSABE Fellow shall be a member of outstanding and extraordinary qualifications and experience in the field of agricultural, food or biological engineering
Given to honor CSABE members who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the profession. It is the highest award made by the Society. Given for outstanding personal qualities, society activities, and professional abilities.

Dr. Travis Esau was presented with the 2025 Glenn Downing Award. This award is presented to the CSABE member who has produced outstanding work in industry, teaching, research or extension in the area of Power and Machinery.
