Is your research having an impact in Nova Scotia or beyond? Are you working in the community or collaborating with an organization to create positive change or build economic opportunity?
If so, we would love to consider your work for the new DalSolutions editorial series led by the Office of the Vice-President Research and Innovation.
Published through Dal News and promoted via advertising and media outreach, DalSolutions demonstrates the tangible value the university’s research delivers in the communities we serve, particularly Nova Scotia.
You can see examples on the new DalSolutions homepage.
To be considered for DalSolutions, stories must:
- Highlight a specific, concrete benefit your research has delivered (or promises to deliver) to individuals, organizations, businesses, ecosystems, or other stakeholders.
- Include a person or group from outside the Dalhousie community who directly experienced this benefit and can be quoted about the impact of your work.
Examples could include a:
- Policy change advancing equity or efficiency.
- Health innovation that demonstrably improves well-being and/or longevity in the community.
- R&D partnership that is helping a business, organization or sector to thrive.
- Discovery helping to safeguard the survival of a species or ecosystem.
- Innovation or intervention that has the potential to slow climate change
- Community-based research project empowering members to create positive change.
Story possibilities are as varied as your research pursuits. If you have an idea or would like to discuss how your work could be profiled, please reach out to DalSolutions@dal.ca. One of the DalSolutions editorial team will follow up.
