Bringing Worlds together was the theme of Community Day 2024 on the Agricultural Campus held this past Thursday, July 25th
This annual tradition is over 50 years strong and provides an opportunity for the local community to come to campus and learn about the impact Dalhousie University is having locally, globally and internationally.
“The Faculty of Agriculture is a proud member of the Truro/Bible Hill community, and our grounds and facilities are open to everyone,” explained Acting Dean and Campus Principal Dr. Gefu Wang-Pruski. “Community Day is an opportunity to thank our community for their support and show them some of the important work we are doing in a fun and engaging way.”
Nearly 2000 people were on campus throughout the four-hour event and traveled campus by wagon ride. Highlights included displays on vertical farming-hydroponics, biodiversity of insects, soil health and resilience, pollinator friendly and deer resistant plants, wearable technology, biomechanics and much more.
The event will be held next year on July 24th, 2025
