The Dalhousie Agriculture Association of Graduate Students  has been busy completing and delivering care packages to its students.

The care packages were hand-delivered to those students located close to campus and shipped to those that were not.

"It was important that we were supporting the students by gifting them some excellent products while also featuring and supporting some amazing local businesses and producers," said DAAGS president Ashley MacDonald.  "We reached out to a few local businesses to purchase cookies, chocolate and lip balm. The Truro Farmers’ Market, a long-time supporter of the campus, helped us connect with nine of their vendors to provide us with products. In total, our care package has a retail value of over $75!"

There are 15 boxes left that are being offered for sale for $50.00 (without DAAGS water bottle). If anyone is interested in purchasing a basket, please email

All funds collected from the sale of the extra care packages will be used to fund the DAAGS Emergency Bursary to continue to support students.
