Surangi Dharmawansa, a second-year M.Sc. student of the Department of Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences was a winner of graduate students’ best poster presentation competition.
Surangi presented her thesis research titled “Dietary supplementation of microencapsulated anthocyanins of haskap berry and probiotics on the severity of DSS-induced acute colitis of Balb/c mice”
Surangi’s research is supported by the Killam Chair Funds of her supervisor, Dr. Vasantha Rupasinghe. The annual conference was jointly sponsored by the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute and Terry Fox Research Institute and held virtually this year on November 10, 2020.
