Ethiopia faces consequences of climate change with high rates of soil degradation, drought and deforestation, so the federal government launched this campaign as a positive way to help repopulate forests and combat climate change effects.

Celebrating after a day of planting
The Ethiopian Office staff from our Agricultural Transformation Through Stronger Vocational Education (ATTSVE) Project led by Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Agriculture participated in the tree planting initiative, planting saplings on Bilbilo Mountain near Addis Ababa.
It was a fun and successful day for the team to work collaboratively while contributing to this massive environmental initiative in Ethiopia.
Trees were also planted at all four agricultural colleges working with the project across Ethiopia, Wolaita Soddo, Woreta, Maichew and Nejo.
