International would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Jafar Sadek, the newly appointed Global Education Advisor at the Faculty of Agriculture.
Jafar is a Student Affairs Professional with multiple years of experience in advising for higher education. It fact this is his 3rd student affairs post in a 3rd country. He received his MS in Student Affairs from Colorado State University(CSU), USA and B.Ed. from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Jafar worked at the Colorado State University(CSU), USA as Assistant Resident Director and managed a residential area with students from 80+ different countries. Previously, he served in an all women international university in Bangladesh as Assistant Director at Center for Career Development and International programs. Jafar also served as one of the managing editors for Student Affairs Journal, a USA based peer reviewed international journal. He presented at NAFSA regional conference and 15th Diversity Symposium at CSU on international students' adaptation challenges in America.
Jafar has moved to Truro with his wife Farhana and newborn twins- son Faizan and daughter Rupanzel. Jafar welcomes every opportunity to meet the students, faculty and staff, to exchange ideas and experiences, and to create new international mobility opportunities and strengthen our global community on Campus.
