Faculty of Agriculture, Dalhousie University
Application Deadline: October 4, 2016
Position: Part-time Academic – Winter 2017
Department:  Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences
Pay Rate:  In accordance with the CUPE collective agreement

Work Assignment:   This Lecturer will teach Lectures and Labs for HORT 2009 Landscape Plant Nursery Management for the period of January – April, 2017.  The class (Lecture) is currently scheduled for Mondays, and Wednesdays and the Lab is scheduled for Thursdays.  The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, running labs, field tours, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. PhD in Plant Science, Horticulture, Landscape Horticulture or related discipline  OR Masters with two year experience in Plant Science, Horticulture, Landscape Horticulture or related discipline.
