Eating for a sustainable planet: Locavores vs Herbivores

Join Fusion Halifax Sustainability Action Team for a lively debate between experts from Nova Scotia's "Lovavore" and "Herbivore" communities.

Hear from both sides and choose for yourself how to eat sustainably in Nova Scotia.  

Possible Questions/Themes for the debate: We could break it into three separate sections, debating the environmental, then social, then economic sustainability of each eating habit.

The debate will be moderated by Dr. Peter Tyedmers, Professor at Dalhousie Univeristy's School of Resource and Environmental Studies. Confirmed speakers to date include: Dr. Kathleen Kevany - Associate Professor, Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture; Erica Fraser - Co-Chair of Food Action Committee, Ecology Action Center; Sheila Spephenson - Director of Secretary of Board of Directors, Slow Food Nova Scotia.
