Jeremy Lundholm completed a PhD in Plant Ecology at the University of Guelph in 2003. Since then he has held a faculty position at Saint Mary's University. His laboratory investigates urban ecology, green roofs, and coastal barrens. Current projects include studies of species coexistence and ecosystem functioning on green roofs, and the classificiation of barrens vegetation in Nova Scotia. He also works on ecological restoration projects, mainly in tidal marshes.
