Travel Arrangements

Truro is known as the "Hub of Nova Scotia", mostly due to its central location and connections to the rest of the province. The Nova Scotia Railyway increased Truro's importance as a hub in 1858 and even today Truro remains well connected due to its position near the junction of the Trans Canada Highway. From Truro there are immediate highways to Cape Breton, Halifax, and New Brunswick.

Truro and its surrounding areas offer many accomodations, attractions, and restaurants. In addition to those listed on the Explore Nova Scotia page, Murphy's Fish and Chips in Truro is highly recommened for those who want to taste local seasfood.
