Tuition is refunded if a course is cancelled by Extended Learning. Tuition is also refunded if the applicant notifies the Centre in writing prior to the decision deadline for the course or program. Tuition will not be refunded after the decision deadline.
Cancellation Procedures – Poor Weather
Extended Learning ALWAYS follows the cancellation policies and procedures of Dalhousie University. However, at times when the campus is normally closed, or if EL is holding classes off campus, or for course/programs delivered offsite, EL may need to make the decision to cancel a class.

Official Contest Rules and Regulations
High Performance Herd- New Dairy Certificate Survey (the “Contest”)
1 The Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of entry, on the following conditions:
a. Dalhousie employees, their immediate family members, and any Dalhousie community members connected to the Contest are ineligible for entry.
b. Quebec residents are ineligible to participate.
2 The Contest opens on Monday, December 2, 2019 (5:00 PM AST) and closes on Wednesday, December 13th at 12PM.
3 No purchase is necessary to participate. To participate in this Contest, participants must complete the survey titled High Performance Herd Survey, and if deemed a winner, must correctly answer a skill-testing question.
4 One winner will be drawn at random on December 13th. The winner shall win one gift card to Tim Hortons (the “Prize”, retail value $20.00). The winner will be notified of their prize by email using the contact information provided by the entrant, and, before being declared a winner, will be required to answer a skill-testing question at the time the Prize is collected. If no response is received by Dalhousie before December 18th at 12PM, or if the skill-testing question is failed, the prize will be redrawn.
5 The Prize cannot be substituted or exchanged for cash or designated to a person other than the person identified as the winner by random draw.
6 The chances of winning depend on the number of entries received.
7 Participation is limited to one entry per person.
8 Dalhousie reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the contest at any time. Dalhousie is not responsible or liable for any erroneous, incomplete, lost, illegible, incorrectly addressed entries or any damage or loss arising therefrom, or connected with the contest. If there is, as a result of any error, more potential winners than contemplated in the rules, Dalhousie reserves the right to hold a random draw amongst all prize claimants to award the correct number of prizes. The prizes are awarded “as is” and with no warranties, express or implied.
9 Dalhousie will not store or retain personal information (name, email address) provided by entrants in connection with this Contest beyond December 16th except as set out in these Rules. Contact information of entrants will not be used for any other purpose other than the purposes stated in these Contest Rules, and will not be provided to third parties.
