As Assistant Dean, Students & Academic Administration, Dr. Keltie Jones provides support to both students and faculty. She is responsible for supporting and promoting a positive student experience. Jones provides direct support to students who are experiencing academic difficulties or encountering other challenges that are affecting their academics.  She oversees decisions involving the application and waiving of academic rules, particularly those that are non-routine or present special circumstances. To address student issues, she liaises with and provides support to the faculty’s academic advisors and works closely with all student services staff. She serves as the Academic Integrity Officer and manages the campus liquor license. Jones also supports the faculty and the campus on academic program review, enrolment management, and academic human resources issues.

Jones grew up in Nova Scotia and moved to California after high school.  She earned her BA in International Relations from Stanford University and her JD from the University of California, Davis School of Law, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Athabasca University. She brings a wealth of experience to Dalhousie, having served as an administrator at UC Davis and American River College in California and the former Nova Scotia Agricultural College.
