Brenda M. Hogan is the Senior Investment Manager with the Ontario Capital Growth Corporation (OCGC). OCGC is a limited partner in the $205 million Ontario Venture Capital Fund and $300 million Northleaf Venture Catalyst Fund; and manages the Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund, a portfolio of 20 technology companies.
Ms. Hogan has served in senior roles in corporate development, finance, and strategic investing with Bell Aliant, EY, the Business Development Bank of Canada, and a software start-up.
Ms. Hogan is Co-Chair of Canadian Women in Private Equity (CWPE); sits on the board of the Youth in Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) and Chairs the Finance and Audit Committee; and serves with the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) as a member of the Research and Benchmarking Committee. Previously, Ms. Hogan sat on the Board of Women in Capital Markets, serving as Chair of the Governance Committee; served as the President of the Junior League of Toronto and prior to that, was Treasurer of the Junior League of Halifax; sat on the Board of the Geneva Centre for Autism and Chaired the Human Resources and Nominating Committee; and is a founding member of the Royal Ontario Museum Young Patrons Circle (YPC).
Ms. Hogan graduated with an MBA in finance from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Commence (cum laude) from St. Mary’s’ University. She has completed the Rotman School of Business SME Board Effectiveness Program, and has received leadership training from the Ivey School of Business.
