2017 winners 

  • All Campuses Electricity Winner - Chapman House, AC (19% reduction against the baseline)
  • Hfx campuses Water Winner – Risley Hall (4.3% reduction against the baseline)

2016 winners 

  • All Campuses Electricity Winner - Chapman House, AC (19.7% reduction against the baseline)
  • HFx campuses Water Winner – Risley Hall (6% reduction against the baseline)

2015 Ecolympics Results

For the first time, all residences reduced their electricity use during the competition! Electricity reduction winners are Trueman House (AC residence), Risley Hall (medium to large residence), and Lyall House (mini-rez).

Water reduction winners are Gerard Hall (medium to large residence) and a tie between 1400 Henry St. and Colpit House (mini-rez).

The overall Halifax Ecolympics winner for water and electricity reductions is Howe Hall.  

Each residence was competing against their baseline measurements. Charts demonstrating the water and energy reductions achieved over the two-week period are displayed below.

2014 Ecolympics Results

Mini-rez, Demille House, is the small residence winner for reductions in water and electricity. 

Eliza Ritchie Hall is the medium-sized residence winner for reductions in water and electricity.

Howe Hall is the large residence winner for reductions in water.

Shirreff Hall is the large residence winner for reductions in energy.

On the Truro campus, Trueman House is the winning residence for the most commitments to reduce water and energy use.
