Pet animals are not allowed in any University buildings and are not to be tied up outside University buildings.
The reasons for this policy are:
- They are a nuisance to many people and pose a threat to some.
- They may foul the inside of buildings and the campus grounds.
- They are a source of infection and a cause of allergic reactions to some people.
- They are a danger and source of infection to research animals.
Guide dogs providing support for the visually challenged are exempted from this policy.
