Grand Challenges Canada, with support from The LEGO Foundation, has launched Play Learn Thrive—a new funding opportunity to address gaps in early childhood development in emergencies (ECDiE) and education in emergencies (EiE).

This call supports projects that strengthen support systems for children aged birth to 12 years in Jordan, Lebanon, Kenya, and Uganda—especially those whose developmental and educational needs are currently not being met.

Transition to Scale (TTS) Applications: Accepted on a rolling basis until November 27, 2025

Note: To apply for funding, innovators need to register in Fluxx before the deadline.

Deadlines

Internal: 10-business days prior to desired submission date or final funder deadline.
External: Rolling; Applications accepted until November 27, 2025.

Unless otherwise specified, the standard ORS internal deadline is 10 business days ahead of the funder deadline. This includes the submission of a ROMEO checklist and all supporting documents.  Researchers are encouraged to check with their faculty regarding their incremental internal deadline.
