September 23-34, 2024 - The Nova Scotia Offshore Wind R&D Conference will have the following features:
- over 25 sessions, 100+ speakers and 250+ attendees across 1.5 days.
- program of concurrent speaker sessions, plenaries, keynotes, a student program, and poster sessions.
- discussions on every aspect of offshore wind energy under three main themes – environment, technology, and policy and regulation.
- session topics will include supply chains, permitting, grid interconnection, socioeconomics, geoscience and geotechnology, environmental effects, project financing, resource assessments, and marine spatial planning.

Due June 24 - A reminder that researchers are invited to submit abstracts for both oral presentations and poster presentations. The abstracts should outline your research and development ideas associated with the conference's offshore wind-related themes.
Academia (both student and faculty), associations, companies, communities, governments, research associations, and any other institution with a passionate understanding or interest in any of our chosen offshore wind related topics are encouraged to submit.
Please note, your submission does not need to fall under one specific theme. We welcome submissions from all different perspectives.
