CAAIF has just released the Call for applications for the following awards:
- Graduate Student Awards in Asthma (four PhD awards and three MSc awards)
- Fellowship in Immunodeficiency
- Research Grant in Hereditary Angioedema
- Research Grant in Upper Airway Allergic Disease
- Studentship & Fellowship in Asthma and Immunology
Graduate Student Awards in Asthma
Application deadline: April 17, 2023 at 11:59 pm in the time zone of the applicant
The objective of the Graduate Student Awards in Asthma is to create value-added opportunities for the training, education and professional development of graduate students, to ensure continued understanding of causes, mechanisms, improvement of asthma treatments and progress towards finding a cure for asthma.
There are four (4) awards for PhD students valued at $30,000 each and three (3) awards for MSc students valued at $15,000 each.
This award is supported by Asthma Canada, CAAIF and CIHR-ICRH.

CAAIF Research Grant in Immunodeficiency supported by Takeda Canada
Application deadline: April 17, 2023 at 11:59 pm in the time zone of the applicant
The objective of the CAAIF Research Fellowship in Immunodeficiency is to:
- Increase Canadian research capacity in the area of Immunodeficiency,
- Support the research career of promising researchers, and
- Produce high-quality research in Immunodeficiency.
There is one Award available in the amount of $50,000.

CAAIF-Miravo Healthcare Research Grant in Upper Airway Allergic Disease

The objective of the CAAIF-Miravo Healthcare Research Grant in Upper Airway Allergic Disease is to fund a research grant focused on the area of upper airway allergic disease.

CASP-CAAIF Research Grant in Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
Application deadline: May 1, 2023 at 11:59 pm in the time zone of the applicant
The objective of the CASP-CAAIF-Biocryst Research Grant in Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) is to fund a research grant focused on the area of Hereditary Angioedema (HAE).
There is one Award available in the amount of $50,000.
This research grant initiative was supported by BioCryst Canada through an unrestricted educational grant.

Studentship & Fellowship in Asthma and Immunolgy
Registration Deadline: April 5, 2023
Applications Deadline: April 26, 2023
In partnership with the Canadian Lung Association, one (1) Studentship and one (1) post-doctoral/clinical Fellowship will be funded if a highly ranked project’s theme investigates new and better treatments that improves the lives of Canadians living with asthma and immunologic diseases.
