Global Affairs Canada (GAC) has issued a call for proposals from organizations for its International Youth Internship Program (IYIP). The IYIP is funded by the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS), which is implemented by twelve federal departments to help young Canadians gain the skills and work experience they need to make a successful transition to the labour market. IYIP participants will complete international development internships aligned with Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
The focus will be on youth who face barriers to employment, such as youth living with disabilities, Indigenous youth, racialized youth, and 2SLGBTQI+ youth. Organizations whose mandates are closely related to these youth groups will be prioritized.
Global Affairs Canada has published a webinar for this call. Please follow this link to view the webinar (available until March 1, 2023)
Full details of this call are available on the GAC website.
